Win a Chance to Pitch Your Project to One of New Zealand’s Leading Publishers or Agents
Pitching to publishers, agents, journals and magazines is an art. At the NZSA National Writers Forum you have the chance to pitch and win a one-on-one session with a publisher or agent during the Forum. In 2016 one NZSA member pitched successfully to win a publishing contract from Text Publishing in Australia. For the 2018 NWF we have increased the odds with a larger and more diverse selection of New Zealand publishers from trade houses to new independents, agents and publishing collectives.
Leading publishers, editors and agents from New Zealand will assess the best pitches made to them, with the best pitch to each participating publisher, editor or agent (as judged by that publisher, editor or agent) winning a one-on-one meeting with them.
If you are a writer looking to improve your pitching and submission skills to find a home for your work, then this is the competition for you.
Be in to win an in-depth conversation on ‘where to’ next. Open to all relevant genre and all writing projects. Closes August 20th.
Participating Publishers: Allen & Unwin, Auckland University Press, CloudInk, Escalator Press, High Spot Literary, Huia, Little Island Press, OneTree House, Penguin RandomHouse, Scholastic, Upstart Press and Victoria University Press.
Tickets are on sale now, with early bird tickets available until 5 August.
