(Penguin 2004); Finalist Montana NZ Book Awards 2005, Within the Kiss (Penguin 2002), The Curative (Penguin 2000); Runner-up Deutz Medal for Fiction, Montana NZ Book Awards 2001 and Dead Sea Fruit (Secker & Warburg 1995); Commonwealth Writers Prize: Winner of Best First Book, South-East Asia/South Pacific Region 1996.
