The National Writers Forum organisers have received and reviewed feedback from the 2018 attendees. Everyone who completed the feedback said they would recommend the event to others in the industry.
“This conference is immensely valuable to me…amazing conference and I’m so glad I attended, and I will be recommending it to everyone! Thank you!” said one 2018 attendee.
Programme Manager, Kirsten Le Harivel says that the 2018 event built on the success of the inaugural 2016 NWF, increasing attendance by 33%, extending the length of the conference, adding an extra stream to the event and more strongly integrating the work of the NZSA into the programme.
“Feedback shows that by encouraging a more diverse range of writers to speak and attend the conference we are building an event which provides something special to writers careers,” she says.
The 2018 National Writers Forum brought together over 250 writers from across the country (and some from Australia and Samoa!) to talk, learn and share information about the craft of writing, the business of writing and the world of words.
Planning has already begun for the 2020 conference.
